We're very lucky to have Baltimore Orioles in our area at this time of year. The male’s brilliant orange colour and its deep rich song make it one of the most popular songbirds. Although more subtle, the female's yellow colour deepens with age and is impressive.
This spring, I've seen Baltimore Orioles regularly in Jack Layton Park. Orioles eat fruit, nectar and insects, so look for them in maples and other flowering trees. Here is one of the birds I photographed on Friday.
