Now is a great time of year to see warblers, a group of small songbirds that feed primarily on insects.
My recent sightings at Jack Layton Park include Pine Warblers, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Yellow Warblers and Palm Warblers. Some of these birds will remain in our area, while others are passing through on their way to the boreal forests of the far north.
If you visit Jack Layton Park and pay attention to some of the smaller birds, you might see something really special.
